just saw dr. physics for lunch. he reports that that gas lines at costco have filled the parking lot; he gave up waiting.

the doc took his oldest daughter to her first day of pre-school this morning. there were approximately 300 people (kids + parents) there; he counted two non-caucausians: one indian couple and the african-american teacher.

the doc invited mrs. wintermute and me to come to his neighborhood pool for a labor day bbq. he has to fill out a 'permission to bring a mixed race couple' form first. i think we'll go just to draw stares. too bad we don't have any half-breed kids yet to really shock the fine folks of dunwooody.
