tv volume

several months ago, some dudes at hartsfield must have had this eureka moment.

"hey, let's put in more flat screen tv's at the gates so people won't get bored"

"yeah, that will be flipping sweet."

"but i've noticed a couple of hearing impaired passengers in the last decade or so."

"well, better make sure it's loud enough for them to hear."

my ears are getting blown out by cnn and the atlanta song. every story on cnn is now a developing story. does that mean that they haven't finished production? hey, get someone on the fender-bender on I-85, stat! what, nothing exciting about that? shit, slap "developing story" on it.

suddenly it's news.

the atlanta song sucks. the commercial sucks. playing it every 4 minutes in the airport sucks.

notice that bain has quietly washed it's hands of that fine piece of consulting work. don't think shirley is going to call them back for a follow-on project anytime soon.
