greetings from the nasty. visting the rents for the weekend while dr. wintermute is in austin on a girls' weekend. she also fit in some time to hang with bloodninja, sinthia, and mini-me.

went to a diwali celebrate last night. my pops was actually one of the main organizers, which is quite a feat. getting 950 indians (first of all, yes, there are 950 indians in ohio) to actually part with cash and show up within an hour of a scheduled time for anthing is amazing. having good guju food on hand helps.

unfortunately, it was unseasonably warm last night (it's been in the high 60s all weekend), and the lack of air conditioning made sitting through 17 hindi and sankskrit dance numbers was tough. a fair amount of classical and folk stuff, and some contemporary stuff, too. all put on by volunteers, and really well done. however, 17 of anything, save u2, gets tough to watch after awhile. so i wandered the halls of princeton high school, where carmen electra once roamed. i also found out that tony snow was in the class of '73.

watched the bengals take first place today.

i should come home to visit more often.
