hbs reunion recap
we had a great weekend in boston last week. upon landing, we headed to the north end to get some great pizza with harrington. big up to her and the rock for hosting us all weekend (especially given that the rooms that hbs had blocked off at copley were $280 / night!).
here are the pics.
friday i headed to campus for the start of the reunion activity, catching the 6:47 train forest hills. nice memories as i switched to the red line at downtown crossing and rode it into harvard square. along the way from the t stop walking across the jfk bridge. i snapped a few pics of harvard square icons:
hbs did a great job of organizing the event. good mix of faculty research, interactive cases, and panel discussions. the only lowlight was the open session with (outgoing) dean light and professor sahlman (who is an amazing prof and taught my favorite all-time class). the first 30 minutes consisted of the two of them telling each other how much they loved dear mother harvard and each other. ridiculous, self-indulgent and narcissistic. perhaps the rest of the session was full of fascinating insights, but i'll never know since i walked out at the 29th minute.
at lunch i managed to convene with my band (king friday), minus our leader, marius, who was in germany and didn't make it across the pond.
saturday afternoon i got together with my three closest friends from hbs--my study group: slim shady, trevesie, and nobf. nobf and dr. nobf hosted us at their place in brookline.
saturday night the reunion concluded with a gala at the museum of fine art. it was tough to find people, with the party spread across two floors (plus, the hbs alumni in for their 50th reunion were convening at the other end of the museum), but the food was really good, the drinks plentiful, and the art fantastic.

the kaiser has the coolest job of anyone in our class: business development for Arsenal football club. his compensation includes season tickets.
