last wednesday night, I hit LA pretty hard with one of my co-workers, who use to live there.
my night included:
a. hanging with someone who was on 'the hills' b. hitting a bar with multiple people who could legitimately claim 'modeling' as profession c. deciding whether to attend a post-concert part featuring the new kids on the block d. all of the above
headed home after a great weekend in c'ville to celebrate j-town's bday. they hosted an around the world party saturday night, which i thought was an invitation for a vomit fest, but it actually turned out really well. i didn't quite try all of the various beverages. the sake was ok. the tequilla was rough.
the cheese made some fantastic food. we had gone apple picking at carter's mountain (apparently, nothing to do with clarence carter), and the cheese made this fantastic cake with fresh apples. we also hit michie tavern, authentic circa 1800-something (according to j-town) for great fried chicken and monticello, which is thomas jefferson's estate. i'm obsessed with the idea of offspring being called descendents.
friday night we saw norah and nick's infinite playlist. pretty good, but i'm getting sick of michael cera playing the same character every movie. that being said, he is pulling a lot of wool every time, so keep going with what works, i guess. turns out that j-town and i are addicted to twizzlers. we bought a 2 lb bag and made a pretty good dent in it.
