pixies concert :: doolittle tour

greetings from dallas, where it snowed yesterday. yes, it snowed in texas.

still catching up on sleep after seeing the pixies tuesday night, going to sleep at 12:30, and then getting up at 4:00am to catch my 6:00am flight to dallas. miserable.

the pixies were fantastic. they're touring in the 20th anniversary of doolittle, their 2nd album. this show was for hard core fans (dr. wintermute is one; i love them but couldn't claim to be hard core). they opened with four b-sides, then played the album from beginning to end. they played four encores that included most of the hits. kim deal narrated the whole thing. she and black francis seemed to genuinely enjoy being on the stage together.

stripped down stage, but they did have a cool screen, on which they played Un Chien Andalou (read the wiki here, it makes even less to me after reading it).
